Spanish Rice E-mail
1 cup brown rice
2 1/4 cup of water
onion chopped
pepper chopped
1 per 2 cloves of garlic {depending on the size}
1 tbl spoon tomato sauce or paste
1 chicken boulion or adobo seasoning
1 tbl spoon olive oil
your choice of beans drained & rinsed

Directions = pour oil in pot on medium heat. smash your garlic. i usually use one or 2 cloves depending on the size & i put them through a garlic pressure. once you can hear the oil getting hot & the garlic aroma i add the onions & peppers {to your liking....it gives it flavor} then i add my water. i add a chicken boulion even though these are high in sodium i substitute it with goya adobo seasoning {ethnic spanish section} i add a teaspoon or tablespoon of tomato paste or sauce i then mix everything up & taste the water to see if i like the seasoning to the water. you can adjust it to your preference. i add my rice & my beans. cover & bring to boil. once to a boil i bring it down to low heat cook for about 30 minutes while covered.

*Note* My rice measurments are per the package that I had bought. I believe it's Uncle Ben's. I rinse it off before cooking it as well. To get the xtra starch off.
